Upsales is a CRM platform designed to help sales and marketing teams grow by offering tools for pipeline management, customer success, and prospecting. Known for its robust integrations and data-driven insights, the platform empowers users to identify opportunities, manage relationships, and close deals efficiently. My role as a Product Designer involved enhancing key areas of the platform, focusing on improving the user experience and aligning the product with user needs to drive engagement and growth.

Upsales serves a diverse user base, ranging from small teams to large enterprises, each with unique workflows and expectations. The challenge was to ensure the platform remained intuitive while handling complex data interactions and multiple feature sets. Existing user journeys needed refinement to reduce friction, improve clarity, and enhance the efficiency of daily tasks. Balancing the need for feature-rich functionality with simplicity was critical to making the platform accessible to all users.

To address these daily challenges, I applied a user-centered design approach paired with iterative testing and collaboration with stakeholders. Key steps included:
User Research: Conducted interviews and usability tests with sales reps, account managers, and admins to identify pain points and opportunities.
Design Simplification: Redesigned complex workflows for managing customer relationships, prospecting lists, and sales pipelines, ensuring clearer navigation and task efficiency.
Consistency & Scalability: Developed a unified design system to maintain visual and functional consistency across new and existing features.
AI Implementation: Designed intuitive interfaces for new AI features, such as sentiment analysis widgets and ideal customer profiling tools, helping users make data-informed decisions.
Feedback Loops: Collaborated closely with the development team and regularly iterated designs based on user feedback and data insights.
This approach resulted in a platform that was not only more efficient and user-friendly but also adaptable for future enhancements, supporting Upsales' mission to help businesses grow.
